Planting to cheer library

PRE-SCHOOL children and older pupils joined a community group to plant bulbs to brighten up their area.

Chapeltown in Bloom recruited some helping hands, with 24 children from Coit Primary School, Park Avenue, Chapeltown, and 16 members of the Tiny Tots pre-school group from the library taking part.

Assisted by adult helpers, flower bulbs were planted at the suburb’s library, with the schoolchildren looking after the front grounds and the pre-school tots taking charge in the rear gardens.

Coit pupils are also working with Chapeltown in Bloom to rejuvenate the Chapeltown Memorial Gardens, next to Newton Hall.
