Plans to build more than 500 homes across Sheffield are to be unveiled next month.

Sheffield Housing Company’s proposals will be on show at a series of consultation events so people can comment on them.

The company is a partnership between Sheffield Council, Keepmoat and Great Places.

Homes will be built on Earl Marshal Drive, Fir Vale; Ravencarr Place, Manor; Park Grange Drive and Park Grange Road, Norfolk Park; Buchanan Road, Parson Cross and Crumpsall Drive, Shirecliffe.

They will be available to buy outright or to rent in phase two of a major redevelopment project which aims to attract purchases from further afield as well as benefiting communities.

Project Director Tom Fenton said: “The regeneration of Sheffield neighbourhoods is about much more than bricks and mortar, and this is why we are so keen to share the plans with local people and residents, so that they can play a part in the area’s transformation.

“Nobody knows the local area better than the existing residents so we are keen to canvass their views on the emerging designs and test whether the linkages and connections we’re assuming are important are in fact the right things to be concentrating on.”

The first consultation will be held on August 5 from 3pm to 7pm at the Learning Zone, Wordsworth Avenue, Parson Cross. Another takes place on Monday, August 11, at the Keepmoat Site Office, Frank Wright Close, Norfolk Park.
