Planning permission has been granted for the second phase of a retail development in Rotherham.
Gregory Projects Limited, a property investment and investment firm, has secured approval to extend its retail development at the junction of Great Eastern Way and Broad Street, Parkgate.
Construction will start immediately to build 9,400 sq ft of space, with 4,400 sq ft due to be let to Formula One Autocentres.
Work is already underway on phase one of the development, with Aldi, Iceland and Home Bargains due to move into new units over the summer.
Richard Tovey, Director of Gregory Projects, said: “We are pleased to secure planning approval for phase two of this development.
“The scheme is 90 per cent pre-let which is testament to the quality of the location and need for a range of shopping all to the benefit of the Parkgate community.
“We have just one 5,000 sq ft unit remaining.”
