Planning disaster

I found out by chance that McDonald's had submitted a planning application to build a 24-hour drive-through restaurant on the corner of The Common and Green Lane in Ecclesfield.

As one of the neighbours who has not been notified I am trying to raise awareness of the application and give all concerned residents of Ecclesfield the chance to put forward their objections.

This site is totally unsuitable due to the roads already being heavily congested. Traffic waiting to turn into the restaurant is likely to mean that the junction is totally gridlocked.

As this is the main road to Northern General Hospital and Elm Lane fire station it is also likely that the emergency services may be affected by further disruption to traffic at this location.

Not to mention the impact of increased litter and noise in the vicinity.

Anyone wishing to raise an objection can do so by logging onto Sheffield.Gov.uk and searching for planning application 16/01781/FUL but they have to do so by today, Wednesday, June 22, 2016.
