Planets set to align overnight - when and where to view rare phenomenon

Five different planets will appear in the night sky at the same time tonight and tomorrow morning - for the first time since 2005.

Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will be visible with the naked eye at the same time.

Open spaces in Derbyshire, the Peak District and atop Sheffield hills are likely to be the best spots - away from light pollution.

The best time to see the rare astronomical phenomenon is set to be 6.45am on Wednesday morning, just before dawn, so you may wish to set an alarm clock...
