A post office could be reopened in Treeton - six years after being closed.
The proposed new location for the branch is in the Treeton News shop on Front Street - 50 metres from the previous post office on the same road which was closed in 2009.
A six-week public consultation on the plans has now been launched.
Should the move go ahead, the branch would open from 5:30am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 7am to 1pm and 4pm to 7pm on Sunday.
Alan Currie, Regional Manager said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to residents in Treeton and we are confident that this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”
The consultation closes on May 21. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 08457 22 33 44.
