Firefighters are still tackling a grassland blaze in Doncaster that has been smoldering for four days.

Crews were first called to land near Kilner Bridge, Denaby Main, on Sunday at 4.15pm.

Fire crews yesterday borrowed two 5000 litre water bowsers from Doncaster Council's highways department to help tackle the blaze.

In addition, a patch of grassland went up in flames off Parkland View, Lundwood, at 5.30pm last night.

Crews from Cudworth Fire Station were called out to tackle the blaze.

An open area was also set alight in Infirmary Road, Parkgate, just before 8pm.

Rotherham Central Station firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Firefighters from Aston Fire Station spent 20 minutes tackling the flames.

A Ford Fiesta was set alight in Vale Road, Thrybergh, at 1.15am.
