A Doncaster man threatened a terrified couple in a McDonald's car park and demanded they give him their car.

The incident happened at the McDonald's car park in Thorne Road near Sandall Park when a man approached a couple and demanded they opened their car door saying he wanted to take the vehicle.

The man made further threats to the 24-year-old man and 19-year-old woman but no-one was injured.

Detectives have now released an e-fit picture of the man they are tracing in relation to the incident, which happened on Sunday, July 15, at 12.15am.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The man, who spoke with a local accent and is described as carrying a yellow River Island bag, then left the area with another woman and the couple drove off.

"As detectives continue with their enquiries, they have now released an e-fit image, and are asking anyone who thinks they know who the man could be to get in touch.
