Phones and mobile phones stolen by thieves operating in Doncaster town centre

A police warning has been issued over a spate of thefts of mobile phones and purses from handbags in Doncaster town centre.

Thefts have been reported during the day and from pubs and clubs at night.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Please make sure when out and about that your bag is closed and you have sight of your bag at all times. It only takes seconds for a pickpocket. Be safe.”
