Pets or status symbols?

Oh dear, D Goodison has missed the point on keeping dogs in council properties.

I signed an agreement when going in for a joint tenancy and on it it states no pets, mainly relating to properties with shared access.

Unfortunately, the people who get one-bedroom flats and such obviously can’t read as they drag a dog in at the first opportunity, shoved on the veranda where it howls and yelps all night.

Some dogs may be pets but the majority are status symbols which are acquired to swagger around on a straining leash made out of a chain from the Queen Mary and are allowed to drop their smelly load anywhere. The owners think it’s funny when people shy away from these dogs. Open the cage but put the dogs in this time.
