Petrol stolen from 4x4 in North Derbyshire

Police are appealing for information after petrol was stolen from a 4x4 vehicle in Derbyshire.

Two small holes were drilled into the fuel tank of the Land Rover Freelander, and about five litres of petrol was drained.

The incident, in St John’s Road, Newbold, near Chesterfield, happened between Tuesday and Wednesday, January 22 and 23.

PCSO Steve Bircumshaw of the Dunston, Moor and St Helen’s safer neighbourhood team urged anyone with information to call Derbyshire Police on 101.
