Person seriously injured after attack at Sheffield estate convenience store

Police have been called to a ‘serious assault’ at a Sheffield convenience store this evening.

One person has been seriously injured after an assault at Co-op in White Lane, Gleadless, at about 5pm.

The shop is currently closed, with a police car on scene, and one person has been taken to hospital.

South Yorkshire Police confirmed that the incident was a serious assault but would not give further details, for instance the gender or age of anyone involved.

No one has been arrested or charged in connection with the attack.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 735 of August 19.
