Young motorcyclist dies after Barnsley accident

Police are appealing for witnesses after a young motorcyclist died after an accident in Barnsley.

Yesterday (January 5) at about 3.25pm, it is reported that a Suzuki motorcycle, ridden by a 22-year-old man, was travelling downhill on Kingwell Road, Worsbrough, on the section between Pinfold Hill and Ward Green.

Police say that the rider appears to have lost control, falling from the motorcycle.

The man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

His family have been informed, and are being supported by officers.

South Yorkshire Police officers investigating the circumstances of the accident say they are now keen to hear from anyone who saw the bike in the area, who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage.
