The study was carried out to see if which football team you support impacts on whether you’ll find love – and the results make good reading for United supporters.

Livefootballtickets.com, a matchday seat re-selling website, conducted the experiment and found that male Blades fans ranked 6th out of the 20 Premier League club when it came to right swipes.

61% of men surveyed said they add which football team they support compared to only 13% of women – and the survey proved good news for Manchester United supporters.

Both male and female supporters get more matches on Tinder than any of the other Premier League teams.

The goal of the experiment was to see if putting which team you support would increase your chances of getting a match and if it does, which team brings you the most matches?

A male and female Tinder profile were created, the photos, name and age remained the same. The only element that changed was the team they supported in their bio.

Livefootballtickets swiped right on 250 people over 3 days for each of the Premier League football teams and checked the number of matches after a 3-day waiting period. The results show and confirm that putting which football team you support can improve and lessen your chances of getting a right swipe, especially if you’re a female.

The female profile on average got more matches than males without mentioning which football team they support (female 155, male 141). Female profiles also got more matches on average when mentioning which team, they support.

Livefootballtickets found that when it comes to males, if you mention you’re a Manchester United fan you are likely to get more matches than any other team with 183 matches being made.

If you’re a supporter of Aston Villa, Watford and Norwich City your team is making people viewing your profile swipe left rather than right.
