Riders will be able to jump aboard the dancing horses when the carousel returns to Barker’s Pool on December 13.

The popular fairground ride will be in operation right up until January 5, according to Sheffield City Council – so there will be plenty of time for some festive fun.

The carousel is the latest addition to Sheffield’s festive fayre, including the ever popular Christmas market, which will run until Christmas Eve as well as the big wheel which is in operation in Fargate.

In addition, Santa’s Grotto is attracting younger visitors to the Peace Gardens while the Alpine Bar at the top of Fargate and Thor’s also in the Peace Gardens, are open for those in search of a Christmas tipple or two.
