‘We are broken’: Family pay tribute to Sheffield schoolboy, 16, found dead at home

The uncle of a Sheffield schoolboy found dead at home has paid tribute to the teenager.

Louis Sleney died at his home on Oldfield Road, Stannington, on Thursday, February 13.

Paramedics were initially sent to the teenager's home and when police arrived they found the youngster had died.

The cause of death has not yet been ascertained but it is not being treated as suspicious.

Louis was a student at Notre Dame High School in Ranmoor.

In a Facebook post written in response to online tributes to Louis, his uncle, Dave Sleney, said the death had left the family ‘broken’.

He said: “I’m Louis’ uncle and thank everyone for their love for this beautiful boy.

“The family are broken, but thank you all for your messages. R.I.P Louis...love you.”

An inquest into the teenager’s sudden death has been opened and adjourned for enquiries to be carried out.
