Now members of the Doncaster Youth Jazz Orchestra have chipped in with their effort – an amazing musical performance of the whole band, stitched together from solo performances from the comfort of their homes.

And their performance of Groove Armada’s Superstylin’ shows members coming together for a video that really hits the high notes.

An orchestra spokesman said: “When a global pandemic stops us in our tracks, breaks up our bands and threatens our collective spirit we don’t sit back and let it happen!

“With bucketloads of enthusiasm, willingness to ‘give it a go’ and a learning curve for us all, we’re really proud of what our incredible musicians have achieved.”

Stuart Garside came up with the idea and arrangement, while Paul Grady (sound) and Tom Myerscough (video) were also key players.
