Yorkshire-born and raised Captain Tom has raised £30 million for the NHS by completing 100 laps around his 25 metre-long garden. He decided to raise money for the health service after they treated him for skin cancer and a broken hip.

Captain Tom has reportedly received around 140,000 birthday cards on his special day. And electric and classical violinist Lisa Rollin decided to put her skills to good use and join in with the well-wishes.
