Libbi Hibbert, Tim Steele, Charlotte Donaldson, and Anita Grant hosted The Barnsley Lockdown Zumbathon over the weekend, which saw more than 80 people take part in two hours of sponsored dancing.

The four instructors each hosted 30 minutes of the event, which saw people gathering in their living rooms across the region to take part.

Libbi, of Barnsley, said: “We wanted to support a local charity and, obviously during the coronavirus, the normal fundraising activities the hospice usually hosts are on hold, so we thought we’d just try and do a bit to help.

“It was a great atmosphere on Sunday, with people sending us photos of their brightly coloured outfits, and all went smoothly with the technology - which is always a relief!

“Our target was £1,000, so we’re delighted with £1,700.”
