A popular Sheffield restaurant has come up with the perfect answer to lockdown blues – by selling takeaway boxes during the upcoming national shutdown.

Italian restaurant Grazie is unveiling its ‘at home’ boxes so customers can enjoy the restaurant’s popular dishes in the comfort of their own homes during the four-week lockdown which gets under way on Thursday.

Restaurants, pubs and non-essential shops will all have to close again following Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s weekend announcement.

But the Leopold Street eatery has announced on Facebook that diners will still be able to tuck in while its doors are shut.

A post on the restaurant’s Facebook page said: “Happy to announce our Grazie At Home boxes are launching this week.

"So you can start this lockdown weekend in the best and safest way possible Options will be posted on our Insta and Facebook.”

Orders can be placed on email [email protected] with orders taken Monday to Wednesday available for collection on Friday or Saturday between 5pm-8pm.
