Actor Mackenzie Crook has rebooted the classic 70s and 80s show which originally starred Jon Pertwee and he’ll be getting up to some new adventures on the BBC this Christmas.
The Office and Pirates of the Caribbean star will take the lead role in the show which goes out on Boxing Da.

Hide AdThe show is based on the books by Arksey-born author Barbara Euphan Todd and tells the scrapes and adventures of a comical scarecrow and his friendship with local children.
The show, which is on Boxing Day on BBC One at 6.20pm, is the first of two hour-long adaptations with the second episode on December 27.
