The impact of the floods is still being felt even now, with many families still repairing the damage and replacing lost belongings.

The money raised has so far been distributed in more than 1,000 grants and continues to be distributed to those worst affected and those still recovering from the damage done to their lives.

The funding has focused on providing residents with the financial support they need to repair damage to their homes and replace furniture, electronics and other essential goods so people’s lives can return back to normal.

One person said: “Thank you so much, I’ve just cried it’s such a relief to know that I can replace the items lost. I’m so grateful to you and your team, it’s so humbling to know that there is people out there that can help others in times of distress. Once again thank you so much.”
