Sania Nisar, of Nether Edge, collapsed in her home and passed away ‘instantaneously’ on March 19, despite seeming healthy right up until her death.

Paramedics rushed to the house and attempted CPR however she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her cause of death was later discovered to be coronary artery disease – a condition which is very hard to detect and which Sania had no knowledge of.

Sania, who was recently married and known as ‘Shorty’ by her family, was born in Nether Edge hospital and lived in S7 all her life, her cousin Mohammed Ifraz Gul said.

She lived with Mohammed as a child, and they grew up together in the same house.

"It’s shocking,” Mohammed said. “Her husband is distraught.

"She had mentioned she was in a bit of pain earlier in the day but we thought it was because she had been blowing up balloons for her niece’s birthday.

"Sania was very popular in the community. The family have been really humbled by the response since she died.

"Sania was always smiling and she was the first person to offer to help anybody.

"She did a lot of work in the community and she worked with a lot of charities.

“Five years ago her father passed away aged just 59 and since then she has been even closer to all of the family. She was an integral part of our family for everybody.”

Sania worked for the NHS as a health care worker for a number of years, and more recently worked for train operating company Grand Central.

"She was always very popular in the community and at her work,” Mohammed added.

“It has been extremely hard, but we just want to thank the paramedics Jenny and Sue, and the police officer PC Mac who were at the scene.

"They were amazing and they were really respectful and mindful of our big family.”

Sania is survived by her mother, husband, five siblings, more than 30 cousins and her nieces.

Her cousins Mehak and Shazna paid tribute with a poem.

They wrote: “Tears on my pillow,

“A pain in our hearts,

“They day you left us our whole world fell apart.

“We will miss you.”

Sania’s funeral took place last Monday (March 22) and she was buried at City Road Cemetery.
