Six Meadowhall stores announce extended opening hours for next week – including Primark

As non-essential shops are set to reopen on April 12 following the government's easing of lockdown restrictions, at least six stores in Meadowhall have announced extended opening hours.

This means, stores that have been closed since before Christmas will now be able to finally reopen as the country cautiously returns to normality.

Popular footwear store Footasylum will be opening from Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 10pm as a move to welcome back shoppers following the lockdown.

Those who are looking for active wear or sports attire can head to JD Sports as they will be opening from Monday to Friday (8am - 10pm) and on Saturday (8am - 9pm).

Thinking of a wardrobe makeover post-lockdown? New Look is the place to be as it will open for 12 hours from 10am to 10pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 10pm on Saturday.

Meanwhile, fashion savvy bargain hunters can head down to the much-loved British retailer Primark as it will open from Monday to Friday (8am to 10pm).

Those who are looking to find hugely discounted clothing, stylish homeware buys or even fitness equipment can go to TK Maxx which is open from Monday to Friday, 8am to 10pm.

Meadowhall is set to reopen on Monday (April 12), but a number of rules will be in place for people making a visit to the shopping centre, to prevent the virus from spreading.

They said they are carefully managing visitor numbers to allow everyone maintain social distancing.

During peak hours, visitors maybe be asked to queue considerately in a designated area outside and may also temporarily close the car parks.
