Shocking footage as owner yanks helpless dogs on their leads into the air in Sheffield

In one video, which has been shared on social media, the woman can be seen apparently lifting three dogs in the air by their leads to get them over the threshold as she leaves her house.

In another, she is shown sharply pulling the lead of one dog and again briefly lifting it off the ground by its neck while out walking.

The clips have sparked outrage online, where they have generated more than 100 comments, with one woman condemning the actions as ‘horrendous’ and another commenting that the videos ‘made me feel sick’.

The RSPCA confirmed that the footage had been reported but was unable to say what action if any was being taken.

A spokeswoman for the charity said: “We are aware of this situation. Unfortunately we are unable to discuss complaints about specific people and what action may have been taken. We understand how frustrating that is for animal lovers but releasing information could prejudice a future prosecution or could lead to us being fined.

“We are so grateful to people who report suspected animal suffering to us and we would like to reassure people we will always look into and, if necessary, investigate any complaints made to us about animal welfare.”
