Since 2008, Bluebell Wood has been supporting children with life limiting illnesses, both in their own homes and at their hospice in North Anston.

They currently care for around 300 families across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire, providing family respite care, sibling support, music therapy, physiotherapy, end of life care and bereavement support.

Based in Sheffield, Global Windows specialises in double glazing, supplying its customers with windows, doors and conservatories.

They’ve worked in the local area for over 20 years, helping Yorkshire homeowners make the most out of their properties, and today carry out around 60 to 80 installations every month.

“For every installation, we’ll be donating £5 to Bluebell Wood, helping them to fund activities for families to create special memories together, including soft play, sensory activities, play and music therapy, outdoor fun, and so much more,” comments Global Windows Joint Managing Director Liam Hulme.

“At Global Windows, we’re dedicated to delivering great products and services to our customers, but as a local, family run business, we also understand the importance of giving back to the community.

“Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is a home from home for families facing the toughest of times, and by making a regular donation for every installation we carry out, we hope we can help make a difference to many children’s lives.”

Sally Baker, Regional Fundraiser at Bluebell Wood, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that Global Windows will be supporting us over the next 12 months.

“The past year has been incredibly challenging from a fundraising perspective, so the support of community-spirited local businesses like Global Windows is more important than ever.

“Each and every penny raised through this exciting new partnership will help us to be a light in the darkness for local children and families who are facing some of the toughest times imaginable.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to Global Windows for their support and we’re very much looking forward to working closely with them in the weeks and months ahead.”
