Sheffield Wednesday stars make festive visit to St Luke's Hospice

Sheffield Wednesday stars took time out from training to enjoy a special Christmas celebration with patients and staff at St Luke’s Hospice.

The players, Matt Penney and Cameron Dawson, and coach Lee Bullen toured St Luke’s and brought gifts for patients and staff.

“We are delighted that Matt, Cameron and Lee were able to join us on this very special afternoon,” said St Luke’s corporate fundraising manager Jack Kidder.

“Our patients and staff really enjoyed the chance to meet the Wednesday stars and there was a really festive atmosphere to the whole afternoon.”

The hospice relies on funding to the tune of £7.2 million a year to continue to provide its vital palliative care service.
