Sheffield salon steps in to help Regis Meadowhall staff made redundant after sudden closure

Chula Beauty Ltd, located in Chapeltown, said those who were left unemployed could apply for vacancies at their newly-opened salon.
In a Facebook post, it said: “So sad to hear about the closure of this salon and for all those that have sadly lost their jobs just before Christmas.

Hide Ad“Chula is a five-star premium salon that has been open for three months. We are looking to expand into hair and we have two styling chairs and a backwash ready for you to start work immediately.
“If this opportunity may be of interest to you and your clients, please contact me ASAP to set up a meeting.

The Regis' Meadowhall store was among a number of branches across the UK to close on Monday (December 9) weeks after the owner Regis UK went into administration.

Hide AdOne employee claimed staff at the branch - where nine people worked, some have worked for more than two decades - were only told that morning of the closure.
It was reported that the Doncaster branch was also among the others to close.
Regis UK, which also owns Supercuts, went into administration in October, putting 1,200 jobs across the country at risk, but the administrator Deloitte said at the time that the salons would remain open while a buyer was sought.
Chula has been contacted for comments but has yet to respond.
