We have picked out seven dogs in RSPCA shelters in Sheffield, Chesterfield and Bawtry that are currently searching for new loving families and a place to call home.
Many of these dogs have ended up in the shelters through no fault of their own and are desperate to live in a home where they are shown what it feels like to be loved. Many of them could live with children and other pets, but some of them would prefer to have all the attention on them as they rightly deserve.
The shelters are all closed to any visits from the public to prevent any stress to the dogs. If you’re interested in adopting any of the following furry faces, simply print and fill out an application form and then contact the centre the dog is being homed at to arrange a visit. If you would like to find out more, visit the RSPCA website here.

![Two-year-old Lola is a devoted dog with a whole lot of love to give. She has had an unknown past and has been left with a thinned coat, but whatever her history, it has not dampened her spirit. She is described as a "joy" who greets everyone she meets with "boundless enthusiasm and heartfelt vigour". She knows how to sit among other commands and could live with children aged in the secondary school years, as well as another dog.](https://www.thestar.co.uk/webimg/b25lY21zOjNhYWQ4MjNiLTEyYWEtNDE0MC1iNzY0LWY2YzRlZGEwOTc3NzoxNmZkMTg0Zi03MjI0LTQ0OWItOGVjYS1mYjBmYzMzYzlmZDU=.jpg?crop=3:2&width=640)

![Stanley is an older fellow at age seven, but one who has aged with grace and a good heart. He holds his qualities as a French Bulldog close to his heart, as an affectionate, tender, lazy, daft dog. He's described as a boy who "loves affection", "adores cuddles" and is as "bright as a button". His age has left him a little unsteady on his feet, but he will always reach his destination. He gets on well with other dogs and children, and walks nicely on the lead.](https://www.thestar.co.uk/webimg/b25lY21zOjM4NmFmMmM4LTZhNGUtNDc3Ny1hYzE4LTE1ZmU1ZGQwNzhmYjo2NTA2NTdhYS1lM2VjLTRlM2EtOWIyNC04OTM1MzFhYTllYWQ=.jpg?crop=3:2&width=640)

![Seven-year-old Lottie is a stunning girl with an equally stunning personality. She's described as "sweet, smart, playful and loving", and she can't wait to find herself a family to share the joys of life with. Lottie has no issues with people and adores good company to have a long cuddle or a game of fetch with. She loves a long walk, however once the walk is over she loves nothing more than to crash on the sofa. She would prefer to be the only pet in the home and could live with children ages 12 and over.](https://www.thestar.co.uk/webimg/b25lY21zOjdjNjhhODJkLWZkOTQtNGY1MS1hMDRiLWZhYWJlYWU0NTlkODpmMGRlMzE2Ni1kMzFiLTQ4MGYtODU1NC00YTM0OWQ3ZWY1ZDA=.jpg?crop=3:2&width=640)

![Brendon is aged around four, and sadly hasn't had the best start in life. He entered the shelter emaciated and with not a lot of energy. After some time in the shelter's care, and the right nutrition, he is now full of life again. He is looking for an active family to take him on plenty of new adventures and spend lots of time with him. He would benefit from a home with a large garden as his favourite thing to do is zoomies. He would require a family with children no younger than 16, and to be the only pet in the household.](https://www.thestar.co.uk/webimg/b25lY21zOjA5ZTQyZGQ5LWVkNDctNGNmZC05Mzg4LTA5YzQxNmM5MzIxNDoxMmY4ZDM2My0xOWRiLTQ3NjItYTYxYy1iNzdlNTgwMjRiZTI=.jpg?crop=3:2&width=640)
