The new study says that people search for porn, sex toys and other sex-related material online more than a string of other UK cities.

The survey placed Sheffield as the UK’s sixth most sex-obsessed city, behind Manchester, Birmingham and London, which took the top three spots.

It backs up local band Pulp, who famously released Sheffield: Sex City in 1993.

Experts from OnBuy Adult Department wanted to explore which UK city out of a possible 20 are the most obsessed with all things sex.

Porn related searches

Sex toy related searches

Lubricant related searches

The estimated number of adult shops in each city

In last place was Southampton, while Cardiff and Stoke-on-Trent made up the bottom three.
