Sheffield NHS tackling racism in the workplace with new project

The Big Conversation is being run in three phases and hopes to find solutions to tackling racial discrimination and injustice within the NHS.
The issue has come about following the death of George Floyd and the disproportionate effects of Covid-19 on BAME communities.

Hide AdPeter Isebor, psychologist at Sheffield Health and Social Care and chair of the BAME staff network group, said: “We all know somebody - you might have a friend, you might have a relative, service user, colleagues who have been directly or indirectly affected by racism.
“However, we all need to work together to make a difference, so please, join the Big Conversation, sign up and contribute.”
The Big Conversation will involve groups having honest conversations in regards to experiences of racism in the organisation.
