Sheffield named as UK dogging capital as outdoor sex rockets during lockdown

Sheffield is one of three Yorkshire towns and cities which appear in the top 20 dogging capitals of the UK as casual sex restrictions see Brits flocking to outdoor sex spots.

With parts of the country moving into tier three and sex indoors between people from different households now being illegal, experts expect that bonking Brits will only get more adventurous in their sexual endeavours to reduce the risk of being caught in the act.

The Hookup Hotspots map by dating and sex experts Datingroo reveals that Leeds takes the number eight spot for dogging capital of the UK, Sheffield takes 16th spot and Doncaster takes 19th spot with the Yorkshire folk not wanting to miss out on the lockdown loving.

Research shows that there have been almost 30,000 Brits searching for dogging locations in the last two months, and there has been an 85% increase in people searching for outdoor hookup spots over the last year.

The last two weeks showed the highest number of dogging searches since summer and 'dogging' was even trending on Twitter in the UK with over 2,500 tweets in the two hours following the announcement.

Sheffield takes 16th place with 43 sexy hook-up spots and Doncaster takes 19th place with 24. In Sheffield the locals like it risky with Meadowhall taking one of the top spots.

Overall, Manchester takes the top spot as Dogging Capital of the UK with an impressive outdoor hookup 131 locations. Birmingham comes in second place with 103 spots.

Research showed that Spain’s capital, Madrid is a very popular spot with 288 outdoor sex locations.

The UK comes in second place with 4,616 hookup locations while Australia and New Zealand take 3rd and 4th place.
