McDonald’s Sheffield Archer Road branch has reopened today (July 6) after a redesign, which the fast-food giant says aims to deliver ‘a better customer experience for all’.

With consumers increasingly looking for greater speed, efficiency and choice when ordering their food, the ‘Convenience of the Future’ restaurant revamp programme combines a new restaurant layout with the latest technology to create a more seamless and enjoyable experience for customers.

Owned and operated by local franchisee, Walter Wright, the Sheffield restaurant is one of the first McDonald’s in the region to undergo the revamp.

After closing on June 19, the completed refurbishment has seen a redesign of McDonald’s kitchens and dining areas. While the traditional walk-in and drive-thru remain crucial to how customers order, the ‘Convenience of the Future’ renovation will better integrate digital sales channels, the McDonald’s App, and make smarter use of internal space to enhance the dine in experience.

With dedicated areas for the different ways to order, along with the removal of the front counters, the revamp will offer a more efficient way to order and will leave customers with more space to enjoy their meal.

Staff will also be able to enjoy more relaxing and comfortable breaks thanks to improvements made to their break spaces.

I’m excited to see the new look and feel of our Sheffield Archer Road restaurant now in action and I hope for a better customer experience for all the local people in Sheffield and to the many visitors.”
