Good Chance - a theatre group who build large temporary domes across Europe to hold its creative workshops - will be working in collaboration with Sheffield Theatres for the FreeDome event at Barker’s Pool between February 20 – 23.

Featuring poetry, theatre, live music, workshops, arts, crafts and comedy, Good Chance attempts to create ‘a welcoming space for new connections, conversations and creations’.

An event spokesman said: “We build temporary Theatres of Hope in areas with high refugee populations where we hope to create meaningful opportunities for immigrant and local communities to interact through the arts.”

The Good Chance Dome has since been set up in Paris, New York and London.

Organisers are still looking for artists to add to the event’s line-up.
