Animatronic ghouls and American candy at "spooky, family-friendly night of Halloween frights" in Sheffield

A Sheffield street will be crawling with ghouls and ghosts this weekend thanks to one mum’s dedication to Halloween animatronics

A Halloween-loving mum is bringing back her frightful display for trick-or-treaters this year.

On Saturday, October 31, residents across Adkins Road in Shirecliffe may get a fright as Keeley Smith brings back her annual Halloween display.

The spooky tradition has been carrying on for around six years now, with Keeley bringing in animatronics from across the globe to create an unforgettable scene.

This year, visitors will be greeted by skeletons, a gruesome zombie couple and even smoke machines.

But it’s not just about the frights, as Keeley mixes her love of the scariest time of the year with a passion to support her son’s football team the Ecclesfield Spartans U11 Reds.

Last year people donated £79.04 to the club while visiting her haunting display.

Keeley said: “This year's visitors can also look forward to some rare American chocolate never seen before in the UK, alongside gruesome cupcakes on sale.

“So wrap up warm, bring your best screams, and head down to Adkins Road for a spooky, family-friendly night of Halloween frights and fun - all for a great cause.”
