A boy left fighting for life after a collision in Sheffield is now in a stable condition.

The 12-year-old suffered life threatening injuries when he was hit by a silver Vauxhall Insignia on Norton Avenue, Gleadless, at 6.10pm on Wednesday.

He was airlifted to hospital, where he remains today, but his condition is now said to be stable.
