Having built up a large following thanks to festival performances as well as support slots for The Sherlocks, Pigeon Detectives and Bad Manners, the Rosadocs will head out on tour in March and April, with dates in four major cities.

And the announcement of the tour follows one of their biggest gigs to date, at Sheffield’s Leadmill, last month.

Frontman and rhythm guitarist Keelan Graney said it was a night to remember, both for the band and their fans.

“This gig was the biggest headline show we’ve done yet so we were eager to be bold in moving up through the venues as every one previously had sold out,” he said.

“We felt we had grown our fan base massively over last summer with festivals etc so we booked the 900 capacity Leadmill main room out, but even so it was a huge leap and one we were anxious about.”

But there was nothing for the band to worry about, as Keelan added: “All our expectations were blown away when we walked out on that stage, it was packed and the atmosphere was phenomenal.

“To see new fans and familiar faces too knowing the words to our songs, even ones we haven’t released yet was incredible.

“We really stepped up our show this time adding blow up footballs into the production as well as confetti cannons, which went down really well.”

Last year, the Rosadocs had one of their biggest years to date, performing at Derbyshire’s Y Not Festival after being chosen by the public as one of the acts, touring with former Oasis manager Alan McGee, and playing at Barnsley FC’s Oakwell Stadium, with the club adopting their music to play at the ground.

A performance at Sheffield’s Tramlines festival was also among the band’s highlights for 2019.

The Rosadocs, frontman and rhythm guitarist Keelan Graney from Clay Cross, bassist Adam Sleight from Conisborough, Joe Egan from Rotherham on lead guitar and drummer Callum Raynor, from Barnsley, practice in Sheffield and also perform a number of gigs in the city.

Their debut EP is due to be released soon as well, with fans advised to keep an eye on their Facebook page for a release date.

The Rosadocs will play Oporto in Leeds on March 22, Gullivers in Manchester on April 4, Head of Steam in Newcastle on April 17 and The Chameleon in Nottingham on May 6.
