Sheffield author's good deed for city charity

Heeley author Amy Stone will be giving proceeds from the sale of her new book to South Yorkshire youth homelessness charity Roundabout.

Due to hit the shelves in April, Strong Stuffis the story of Ruby, a young carer who finds her world turned upside down when her mother dies and she is forced to live with her estranged father.

Amy, aged 33, said: “The story is set in Sheffield and the main character encounters a lot of situations that could result in homelessness so it is very relevant to Roundabout. It is a great charity and they do such important work.”

Strong Stuffis Amy’s second novel, following 2019’s The Raven Wheel. It is available to pre-order now from major bookstores.
