He said: "I can pretty much speak for everybody in the entertainment and music industry when I say we were all devastated when it was announced everything had to close because of Covid 19.

“All ongoing shows and DJ sets were getting cancelled one by one literally every day until there was nothing left.

"I had shows booked in all over Yorkshire and was meant to be playing in multiple countries looking at the biggest summer of my life, all this straight up cancelled as we got more weeks into the pandemic.

“My aim is to put on a totally safe socially distanced music event in Doncaster showcasing local DJs and giving people who love good music and going out to do this in a safe environment where they can do so without having to gather in large groups breaking the government guidelines.”

Tickets to the event will be limited with no pay on the door. There will also be hand sanitsing stations, one way systems and pods with up to six people per pod.

He said: “It will be a limited ticket event with no pay on the door so we can control the amount of attendees and make sure all guidelines are met so everybody is safe.

"The venue will be kitted out with hand sanitising stations, pods for up to six people per pod, running a one way system, track and trace on entry and one of Doncaster’s top security teams securing the venue to make sure everybody is safe and to make sure all COVID guidelines are met to a high standard.

"There will also be a zero tolerance policy in action for anybody that does not follow the guidelines.

"Our number one priority is that everybody is safe, having a good time and on a good vibe.”

Joining Kurt as DJs on the night will be Label 37, RK Switch, Joshua Brooks & J.Scholey infusing their own unique cutting edge underground house sound.

The event will take place at Doncaster Squash Club, Bennetthorpe between 7pm and 1am on October 3.

He added: “We are all really not sure how long it will be until we can have a full crowd back or our clubs back open so we have decided this may be a good idea and possibly set out a good example to other small promoters across Yorkshire to prove that something like this can work.

“We believe this may also keep people from hosting illegal parties and gatherings in our area and maybe push them towards coming to somewhere that is properly set up to avoid breaking the law. Hopefully we can get back to normal very soon but this is our only way of getting out and do what we love doing for now.”
