Rotherham St Mary’s School choir bring festive care to dementia patients

Youngsters from a primary choir delivered Christmas cheer to patients and their families on a hospital unit in Rotherham.

St Mary’s Catholic Primary School choir from Herringthorpe visited patients at The Woodlands, Moorgate. It provides care for people aged over 65 with mental health problems, including dementia.

They sang at a carol service led by Father Andy Graydon, before wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

Worker Tracey Green, who organised the event, said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to the children and staff from St Mary’s for visiting us. They sang beautifully and our patients are still talking about what a wonderful time they had!”
