‘RIP Ibby’: Tributes pour in as teen killed in tragic Ecclesall Road crash named locally

Ibrahim, or known as Ibby by his friends, has been named locally as the tragic teenager who died in the crash on Ecclesall Road.
The road was closed this morning in both directors between the roundabout and the junction with Pear Street.

Hide AdTributes have now poured in for the teenager whose life was ‘taken too soon’.

Emergency services were called to Ecclesall Road in Sheffield at 1.01am this morning to reports that a motorcycle had been involved in a collision.
The rider of the bike, a 19-year-old man from Sheffield was taken to hospital by ambulance but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

Hide AdA police spokesperson said: “Emergency services were called to Ecclesall Road in Sheffield at 1.01am this morning (Tuesday 22 June) to reports that a motorcycle had been involved in a collision.
"The rider of the bike, a 19-year-old man from Sheffield was taken to hospital by ambulance but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later. His family have been informed and are being supported by our specially trained officers.
"As our investigation continues, anyone with information that may help is asked to call 101 quoting inc 33 of 22 June."
