Ranmoor in Sheffield has been named as in the top ten best places to live
The Howardian Hills is top of the list of 10 locations in the region - and 101 across the UK - chosen by The Sunday Times to represent the best of Britain in the annual Sunday Times Best Places to Live guide.

Hide AdThe expert judges assessed a wide range of factors, from schools, transport and broadband speed to culture, green spaces and the health of the high street to produce the definitive guide to the UK's finest locations to call home.
They travelled thousands of miles around the UK, visiting the locations and talking to locals.


They looked for improving towns, villages or city centres, for attractive, well designed homes, and locations bursting with community spirit.

Hide AdThe affluent surburb of Ranmoor in the Fulwood ward of Sheffield was selected as one of those best places to live, alongside the likes of Saltaire in West Yorkshire, Ripon in North Yorkshire and Roundhay in Leeds.
Ranmoor was mostly developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and it features a number of large houses that were built for the city's steel magnates, as well as, most notably, a large church, St John's.
