Popular trampoline park and play centre announces immediate closure

A trampoline park and play centre has closed down with immediate effect.

Air Kings, which was based at Kirk Sandall Industrial Estate, announced its immediate shutdown in a message on Facebook yesterday.

Staff are now in the process of contacting people who had bookings at the centre which was the town’s first indoor trampoline park when it opened in 2016.

The statement said: “Unfortunately our Doncaster branch has ceased trading as of today 5, January 2020.

“We have been working hard behind the scenes in relation to lease terms and new agreements but unfortunately could not come to a solution to suit all parties.

“This has been an incredibly difficult decision to close but had the pleasure of seeing out the Christmas holidays.

“It has been an absolutely amazing experience working with such dedicated staff over the last four years and meeting so many loyal customers throughout this time.

“We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, existing bookings are being contacted to discuss options.”

Anyone with any questions is urged to contact [email protected]. It said the firm’s Scunthorpe branch would continue to trade.

Since its opening, Air Kings has faced competition from both Go Bounce and Flip Out, both of which sprung up in its wake.

Back in 2016, the team behind Air Kings objected to plans by Go Bounce to open a site at Shaw Lane industrial estate, saying the the demand to sustain another business in such close proximity did not exist.
