The working farm was set up in 1981 and provides green spaces in an urban area, education, employment and training opportunities.

It has grown into a popular visitor attraction and staff and volunteers work with young people, adults with learning disabilities and with local communities across Sheffield to promote regeneration, environmental education, energy efficiency and health and well-being.

Heeley City Farm, which has a range of animals including certified rare breeds, is open every day of the year except Christmas Day.
