Before his disappearance, he spent much of his time in the Aughton, Beighton and Woodhouse areas of the city.

Inspector Kevin Smith, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “We now have information to suggest that on August 19 between 2pm and 4pm Jaiyan was in the Walkden area of Manchester which is where these CCTV stills were taken.

"We believe he then travelled from Sheffield to Sussex on August 20 in a White Ford Focus driven by a woman described as being white and approximately 21 years old with long brown hair.

“We believe Jaiyan bought a new outfit and could now be wearing an all-grey Nike tracksuit and black and white Adidas trainers.

“I’d like to appeal to anyone who thinks they have seen him over the last week, to contact police.

"Jaiyan, if you are reading this, please get in touch – your family are worried about you and we just want to make sure that you are safe.”

Anyone living in Walkden or Hastings is asked to keep an eye out for him and share the appeal across social media.

If you have any information about where Jaiyan is or where he is staying, call 101 and quote incident number 292 of August 18.
