His funeral is taking place tomorrow, Saturday, February 29, and as Jack embarks upon his final journey a huge number of motorcyclists are set to join his funeral procession.

Jack’s parents issued an appeal for bikers to join the convoy as a tribute to their beloved son, and bikers from across the country have made plans to take part.

Roads Policing Sergeant Matt Duffy, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “Traffic officers will be assisting with the funeral of Jack Lacey who sadly died earlier this month to pay respects and support his family, ensuring this difficult time is made as easy as possible with crowd and traffic management.

“Jack loved motorbikes and officers who share his passion and love will be riding their police motorbikes alongside the funeral procession.

“On behalf of South Yorkshire Police our thoughts are with Jack’s family at this difficult time.”
