The annual Sheffield by the Seaside event has opened up this week, with the first families taking advantage of the fun on offer.
Our pictures show families taking advantage of the sand, the deckchairs and the fairground rides which have been put in place in the city centre for families to enjoy.
Much of the event is centred around the Peace Gardens, but there are also classic fairground rides, including Dodgems and a vintage carousel.
Sheffield by the Seaside runs from from Thursday, July 23 to Saturday, August 29.
