Hallam FM’s Cash for Kids’ new appeal aims to assist families on zero hours contracts, who may be facing reduced or completely cut-back hours, or with no access to sick pay.

Alongside The Star’s #therewithyou campaign – working to bring our communities together - this appeal is relying on donations from local people to build a fund, from which grants will help the most vulnerable within our society, covering basic essentials including food and heating bills.

Hallam FM host John Harrison, from Big John @ Breakfast, said: “We have already been hearing incredible stories of generosity from our listeners, as individuals go out of their way to help others through this unprecedented situation.
