National Cat Day: Sheffield Star readers share their adorable pet snaps

National Cat Day was celebrated on October 29 this year. It is an opportunity for feline lovers to share their bundles of fluff with the world and show off their cute cat snaps on social media.

The special day started back in 2005 as a way to raise awareness for cats in shelters who needed to be rescued into loving families.

The Sheffield Star asked its readers to share their favourite cat photos to celebrate the occasion and they did not disappoint. Have a look at some adorable cat photos sent in to us to share.
