Recent events have brought calls for people be a little kinder to each other. And so one five-year-old girl from Sheffield decided to take the lead.

Eliza McKay-Smith from Greystones created a heart-warming message she decided she wanted to share with everyone in the city to spread a little love.

No wanting to disappoint, her mum helped make her wish come true with the help of two local businesses.

After being touched by Isabelle’s request for help in spreading the message, CNS Media enrolled the services of Sheffield-based Anco Digital, who operate an advertising screen on Sheffield Parkway.

Anco Digital were also behind a mysterious sign which popped up on Parkway last week. More details behind the sign were revealed earlier this week.

Within hours, Eliza’s words were being beamed to motorists on one of Sheffield’s busiest roads.

The inspirational message reads: “Try to be happy. Be Kind. Try not to fall over. Don’t forget your keys.”

It is signed “Eliza, age 5 from Greystones in Sheffield.”

They have been on display since Tuesday and will remain in place for the rest of the week and possibly into next week.

Posting on social media, Isabelle joked: “Putting her pictures on the fridge just isn’t going to cut it anymore.”
